Many times we feel that we have to give up our old favorite snacks in order to eat healthy. The truth is you don't have to. You can fit in your favorite treats into your diet as long as you follow proper moderation techniques. This salad is a great example of how you can turn junk food into a nutritious meal.
Begin by adding your spinach or leafy greens to your bowl. To make this packed full of nutrients you can mix and match your leafy greens to add variety. Romaine, cabbage, and spinach are my favorite leafy greens to use in salads.
Next I like to add my beans, avocado, and cilantro in my salad. Feel free to add any extra toppings you like. You can add chicken, black beans, nuts, and veggies.
I like to top my salad with an egg done over easy. This allows me to use the yolk of the egg to coat my salad and bring an extra layer of flavor.
Lastly, crush your Doritos and sprinkle on top. Serve with your favorite dressing (use 1-2 tbsp).
